According to Apacer's Product Director, C.K. Chang, AU821's 65K color OLED display and graphical user interface with 5-way keypad control make it a fun device to play MP3/WMA music files, MTV/AMV video and JPEG/BMP/GIF photos. It also supports 17 languages, has dual-screen synchronized lyric display, ID3 tag support and a 7-band custom equalizer (Soft/ Jazz/ Classic/ POP/ Rock/ Natural/ Bass). In addition, it has a built-in fade in/out playback function designed to protect customers' sensitive ears. The AU821's user-friendly interface and human-centered design provides customers optimum music enjoyment and is a great choice for a portable audio/video device. 

The AU821 is as compact and light as a match box. The simple lines and squared look together with the cool gray metal color give a high-tech feeling along with a hint of classic style. The AU821 also supports a powerful recording function with built-in microphone that delivers excellent recording quality. For easy language learning, AU821 has separate buttons for recording and A-B repeat function. The A-B repeat function also provides useful 16-level variable-speed playback to play recorded content back at a slower rate, making language learning more efficient and enjoyable.

AU821 has a built-in rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery that offers 18-hours of non-stop play. The full-band FM stereo radio can store 20 preset channels. The FM recording function supports WAV and ACT formats which gives customers the power to record and playback about 30 hours of their favorite radio programs.
